Madga first appeared in “Magma”, the music video by Roz Raskin and the Rice Cakes in 2011.
Originally designed to be a 3-person puppet, she shed her lower body sometime after chasing people’s fears in “Magma” and performed at festivals around Massachusetts and Colorado in smaller form instead.
Most recently, Magda starred in “Of Monsters and Mountains”.
Who is Magda? She is a laundry monster who appears out of piles of clothes that were left unwashed for an extended period of time. Please note: Brett Sylvia is not held responsible for Magda eating your missing socks.
Unlike her friend Op the Cyclops, Magda is a talking puppet. Even though she only knows one word, she is far from monotonous!
